Caithness Pony Club secretary Liz Hewitson said: "Denise gave a dressage demonstration with Leoni Kennedy on Finn and Erin Hewitson on Che as the demo riders. Alasdair gave a showjumping demonstration where Erin and Che were the guinea pigs.

"As well as the riding, there was practical stable management, badges for pony health and bandaging and rugs. The younger members made their own hobby horses which were then used to do a jumping derby on foot in Maggie’s Way and there was fun doing a blindfolded bridle game."

Rowan Lee also passed her C+ test and was assessed by Ashleigh Campbell and Alasdair Mathieson.
