Windy weather meant that numbers were on the low side for the recent dressage competition held by the local branch of the Pony Club at the indoor school, Halkirk.

Kindly stepping in to do the judging was Mary Elder after the original judge Terry Penna was unable to make the journey over from Orkney due to the weather conditions.

Three members qualified to take part in the Spring Festival to be held at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre next year. Liam Mackenzie, riding Stroma, qualified in the novice test along with his sister Morven on her young horse Cilla, who also qualified in the intermediate class. Rowan Lee, riding Teddy, won both her classes and qualified for the intermediate final.
