Caithness make history to reach League Cup final for the first time as they defeated Sutherland in Castletown

Caithness Ladies have reached the Highlands and Islands League Cup final after defeating Sutherland 3-1.

The club have reached the final for the first time in their history after securing victory at Back Park in Castletown.

Carly Erridge scored twice with Sophie Kinghorn also finding the net for Caithness.

They will face cup holders and league champions Buckie in the final after they defeated Nairn St Ninian 4-0 at Portgordon.

The final will take place on Sunday, September 24 at a venue to be confirmed.
