In a dominant performance, Caithness proved too good for their hosts as they remain in third place in the table.

Carly Erridge was in ruthless form in front of goal as she scored four times, with Anna Foubister, Sarah Henderson and Rachel Campbell also finding the net for Caithness.

Manager Tom McKenna praised his players for a professional performance in their victory at North Kessock.

However, he believes the scoreline could have been an even bigger margin due to the number of chances they created.

He said: “The girls started off in a confident and positive manner. We had a lot of possession, but we weren’t clinical enough in the final third at the start of the game.

“When we did concede a goal, it did give us a kick up the behind and it led to us to start scoring goals.

“Once we got the first goal, it gave us more confidence in our play and in the end we knocked the stuffing out of them.”

Caithness Ladies are in third place in the Highlands and Islands League on 19 points.

With only three league matches remaining, Caithness are unable to catch leaders Buckie who are on 32 points.

But they could still end the season with silverware as they face Buckie in the Highlands and Islands League Cup final on Sunday, September 24 at Station Park in Nairn.

Caithness are not in action this weekend, but are scheduled to face Brora Rangers in their next league match on Sunday, September 17 at Back Park in Castletown.

Caithness’ remaining league matches are away to Orkney on Saturday, October 7, with their final match hosting Nairn St Ninian on October 15.
