Caithness ladies’ netball team get the better of Lossie

Caithness ladies’ netball team travelled to Dingwall to play their second game of the season against Lossie Ladies.

The first quarter went goal for goal until Lossie got a late turnover which gave them a 9-7 lead going into the second quarter.

During the second quarter the Caithness defending duo of Eva Stewart and Jill Clark were relentless in regaining possession for their team as they finished the first half 17-12 ahead.

As the game went on there were strong connections between the mid-court players and the shooters, creating a succession of chances. The whole team fought to the end, securing the three points with a 33-25 win.

Laura Bain was chosen as player of the match.

Caithness ladies train every Tuesday from 7.30-9.30pm at Thurso High School games hall, with new players always welcome.
