Last-minute travel problems scuppered Orkney Dragons' scheduled cup clash with Caithness Krakens on Sunday.

The teams were due to play at Millbank in their second match of the National Plate competition.

But the islanders arrived at Stromness to find the Hamnavoe ferry crossing was cancelled because of a "technical problem".

The match has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 2.

Edinburgh University, who went down 20-17 to the Krakens in their first match, on Sunday were beaten 36-19 away to Kirkcaldy.

The Thurso-based side's next match is at home to Strathmore on March 11.
