North of Scotland Kart Club was were well represented this weekend at the Crail circuit in Fife.

Ian Campbell (10) from Watten and Jack Elder (8) from Dunbeath were competing in the final round of the Crail Winter Series.

Jack, on his debut race weekend in the Micromax category having stepped up from a successful season in the Bambino class, put in a strong performance with his lap times improving every session – resulting in an eighth-place finish in the final.

Ian ran well all weekend with several fastest laps and heat wins. With drying conditions in the final, he led the race for a time before finishing third to secure second overall in the championship.

With a busy season of karting ahead for all the Highland teams, spectators are encouraged to go along to the Golspie kart track on March 30 and 31 and see the action up close.
