Caithness cyclists selected for Commonwealth squad

CAITHNESS cyclists Evan Oliphant and John Paul have both been selected to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games after they were named in the squad on Thursday.

They are the first two athletes from Caithness to be officiallycalled up to represent Scotland at the Games which take place in Glasgow in July.

Oliphant (32) from Milton will compete in the track endurance and road race events while Paul (20) originally from Lybster, will be competing in the track sprint event at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
