Week 15 of Caithness Cycling Club’s 10-mile time trial season had to revert to the much slower Westfield course, due to roadworks on the Watten road.

As a result Alistair Miller was the only rider to get within a minute of his season’s best and so take maximum points in the Handicap League. As expected, Andrew MacLeod posted the fastest time, with Iain Miller in second place.

The Handicap League is again proving to be a close-run affair with just eight points separating the leading three.

Results: 1 Andrew MacLeod, 23 min 20 sec; 2 Iain Miller, 26.10; 3 Alistair Miller, 26.45; 4 Angus MacKay, 27.26; 5 Gary Angus, 29.18; 6 Alasdair Washington, 29.39; 7 Scott Phares (road bike), 29.40; 8 Martine Hughes (road bike), 35.27.

Handicap League: 1 Iain Miller (44.5 points); 2 Gary Angus (41); 3 Angus MacKay (36.5); 4 Martine Hughes (30); 5 Alistair Miller (26); 6 Phil Cartwright (25).

Wick Wheelers' 10-mile time trial (week 15): 1 Stuart Anderson, 22.53; 2 Danny Miller, 24.24; 3 Iain Miller, 27.05; 4 Lisa Coghill, 32.52.
