Sam Barclay helped himself to six goals as Wick Academy’s under-17s recorded a thumping 12-0 win over Ullapool at Harmsworth Park on Sunday.

Michael Steven scored a wonder goal from 30 yards which went in off the bar, while the others in a dominant performance came from Conor Farquhar (2), Owen Lockhart, Stuart Campbell and an own goal.

Barclay’s double hat-trick brought his goal tally to 17 this season.

Academy’s next SHFL Under 17 North fixture is on October 27 at home to Lossiemouth and the coaches are hoping for a closer contest.
