Bangers galore as new season gets underway

Banger car racing is back in Caithness with the formation of the new Caithness Banger Club.
On Sunday, October 6, racing fans will be heading to North Killimster Farm just west of Reiss village where 40 bangers have entered for the clubs inaugural race meeting – with entries having come from as far away as Spean Bridge, Dingwall and Brora.
Organisers have arranged for three heats with three races in each followed by a reversing and a ladies only race .
The grand final race of the afternoon will see as many bangers that are able to run in a decided number of laps to find the overall
champion.
Many prizes have been sponsored by M M Motors, Graham Henderson Keiss, Autoquip Motors Wick, A L Motors Castletown Colin MacKenzie Removals and Town and County Small Tool Plant Hire .
