Castletown remain unbeaten in 2023 with a cup victory over Seaview and two hard-fought draws in Division One of Wick and District Darts League, with Harper's “B” and the Village Inn.

Despite the inclusion of Willie Plank it is veteran Geordie Bain who has led the way and has still to lose a leg following 3-0 wins against Stewart Tait (Seaview), Graeme Sutherland (Village Inn) and David Taylor (Harper's “B”).

In the latest match, Harper's player Martin Nicolson hit an 11-dart leg versus Donnie Farquhar.

Seaforth club had Tam Mulraine in their line-up against league leaders Seaview and they were good enough to take the first point off the John O'Groats side.

Elsewhere there were wins for Smiddy Inn and Norseman.

In Division Two, Alan Forbes guided his Smiddy “3” team to within two points of the leaders with Sid Davidson and Andy Cormack winning their games for the away side, Harper's “C”.

Seaforth won the battle of the ladies, with Morgan Perry the best performer.

Lybster are making the Comm bar a fortress as they won at home again.

Organisers are anticipating a good attendance.
