Back-to-back defeats for Caithness in SWF Highlands and Islands League

Caithness Ladies were beaten at home for the second week in a row as Sutherland ran out 5-1 winners in Sunday’s SWF Highlands and Islands League clash in Castletown.

The visitors were already three up at Back Park when Hannah Hutson got the Caithness goal just before half-time.

Franci Hutchison netted twice for Sutherland and two other efforts from her led to own goals, both from set-pieces. A free kick by Elysia Rattue-Young rounded off the scoring.

Caithness, who lost 2-1 to champions Buckie the previous week, are now fifth in the eight-team division.

Their next game is away to Ross and Cromarty at North Kessock on Sunday, June 2.
