Highly successful seasons for Caithness United’s under-12, under-14 and under-16 squads were recognised and celebrated at the club's annual presentation evening at the Norseman Hotel in Wick.

The event included a summary of the season for each age group by a coach and culminated in trophies being awarded for player of the year, most improved player and endeavour.

Guest speaker in the packed hall was Wick Academy's Davie Allan. He presented all the awards and also took part in a question-and-answer session with the audience, providing insightful stories and useful messages for the players.

Trophies were awarded as follows:

U12 most improved player: Liam Shearer.

U12 player of the year: Will Munro and Ruaridh Kean (joint winners).

U14 most improved player: Kyle Bain and Alex Traill (joint winners).

U14 endeavour award: Cory Miller.

U14 player of the year: Harris Shone.

U16 most improved player: Josh Sutherland.

U16 endeavour award and U16 player of the year: Josh Hughes.

Caithness United trials for under-14s and under-16s will begin this week, with the club looking to finalise its squads for the coming season kicking off at the end of August.
