HALKIRK United picked up their first win of the season but were forced to hold off a late Bunilldh fightback.

The Jags went in front through Jordan McLeod but the lead only lasted three minutes as Andrew Falconer equalised.

Anglers took control after the interval as Steven Lowe scored midway through the second half before Falconer netted his second to make it 3-1.

Liam MacDonald-MacLeod pulled one back in the 89th minute for Thistle to set up a tense finish but Halkirk held on to keep all three points at Morrison Park.
