STAXIGOE summer footballers Martin Banks and Liam Bremner proved they can score whatever the season as they helped Golspie Sutherland leave Morrison Park with all three points.

Banks, who was one of the stars for Staxigoe United in their run to the Highland Amateur Cup Final this summer gave Golspie a 1-0 lead at half time.

Ally Macleod made it 2-0 eight minutes into the second half before Bremner made it 3-0 after the hour mark.

Marc Gunn pulled one back for Halkirk nine minutes from time but Bremner restored Golspie's three goal advantage 60 seconds later.
