Anderson strikes twice as Academy down Keith

WICK Academy moved up to fifth in the Highland League after a 3-0 win over Keith at Harmsworth Park on Wednesday evening.

Manager Gordon Connelly rested a handful of regulars as he copes with a hectic programme of matches in the run-up to the North of Scotland Cup final versus Nairn County on November 21.

Marc Macgregor opened Academy's account with a headed goal from a corner midway through the first half. After an even first half, Academy dominated and missed a clutch of chances before man-of-the-match Steven Anderson scored after a run-in from the halfway line. Anderson then got his second near the end after converting a cross from Alan Hughes.
