DAVIE Allan's equaliser six minutes from time ensured Wick Academy had a point to take home from their first foot at Forres.
It didn't start off a happy new year for the Scorries when the hosts took the lead after just four minutes through Dachi Khutsishvili.
The Georgian's shot took a deflection off Orcadian James Pickles which fooled Sean McCarthy as the ball went into the net.
Sam Mackay equalised for Wick with a long range effort which was out of reach for Stuart Knight and dipped underneath the crossbar for a fantastic goal.
Forres retook the lead after the hour mark when Liam Baxter netted in a rebound from a McCarthy save.
In the 84th minute, Allan used his lightning pace to beat the offside trap and fire the ball past Knight to earn Wick a deserved point.
