Readers of the John O'Groat Journal and Caithness Courier have submitted some fantastic images over the last 12 months.

Here is a selection of the great photographs that have been taken in Caithness by our readers.

The John O'Groat Journal is happy to receive photographs for Your Caithness – please email them to editor@nosn.co.uk with brief details.

Photographs should be high resolution jpg files, ideally taken in landscape format.

Each week we feature one of the photos in our print and e-edition, as well as publishing a number of them online.

By submitting photographs for Your Caithness, readers grant Highland News & Media unlimited rights to publish the images but retain the copyright.

Roger Bamfield sent this photograph of two young ladies on the wooden sofa outside SAMS in Wick High Street – "something put there by a businessman which enhances the town centre environment". He added: "The photographs for Your Caithness seem to always be of the landscape, seascapes and skies. For me, Caithness is also about the people, the industry and the enterprise."
