FOUR budding young photographers got tuition from an expert during a summer school run by Latheron, Lybster and Clyth Community Development Company.

Latheron-based snapper Angus Mackay spent 30 hours helping Findlay Gunn, Mackenzie Gordon, Skye Waterston and Eilidh McPhee learn the basics of using DSLR cameras, covering exposure, lighting and composition, as well as other techniques.

With help from Lybster and Tannach Fund (Burn of Whilk), the development company purchased a number of photography kits to use with the course.

The group has now partnered up with North Lands Creative glass studio in Lybster to take photos at workshops being run with world-renowned glass artists on Sunday. There will also be an exhibition of the students' work in the autumn.
