Pentland Firth Yacht Club (PFYC) has an ongoing funding appeal, for the installation of a defibrillator in its corner of Scrabster and recently received a £1200 cheque towards that goal.

This took a step forward with a substantial donation being made by DATEC Retirement Group, a local seniors fellowship offering social, educational and fitness activities.

The £1200 cheque was presented by Brian Harris, DATEC secretary, to Vikki Edmunds of PFYC.
