Work order for Wick man after row

A Wick man who shouted and argued with his partner has been ordered to carry out 85 hours of unpaid community work.

George Innes admitted a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour and a previous record of offending.

The incident occurred at his home in the town's Macarthur Street, on June 22, last year, Wick Sheriff Court was told on Thursday.

The court heard that the police were contacted after neighbours heard raised voices from the house where Innes (60) had been drinking with his partner.

Both parties have separate homes but remain friends and meet regularly, Sheriff David Hall was told.
