Wonderful displays at East of Caithness SWI bulb show





The 2023 East of Caithness SWI bulb show was held on Saturday at Wick Assembly Rooms. The town's provost, Jan McEwan, opened the show and presented the winners' trophies.

Organisers said it was wonderful to see such a beautiful display of bulbs, floral art, baking and handicrafts by the members with so much work put into all exhibits

They added that it was also fabulous to see the event so well supported by SWI members from both sides of the county and the public, who enjoyed a welcome brew and delicious baking donated and served by a fantastic team of volunteers.

Judging the bulb exhibits and floral art were Mrs Joanna Mackay and Mrs Wilma Swanson, the handicrafts and baking were judged by Mrs Helen Mackay and her sister Mrs Jenny Cormack with the results as follows:
