A 52-year-old Hull woman attacked her partner at his home in Caithness after a lengthy drinking session.

And when police came to arrest Tracy Gooch, she lifted up her top and exposed herself before struggling violently with officers.

Sheriff Robert Frazer heard the case at Inverness Justice Centre.

Gooch, of Spencer Court, Hull, appeared from custody by video link at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted assault, threatening behaviour and resisting arrest at the property in Beinn Ratha Court, Reay on May 19.

Fiscal depute Shay Treanor told Sheriff Robert Frazer that Gooch was drinking with her partner when an argument ensued.

She went off to bed but got up in the early hours and began drinking again throughout the day.

Her partner was then punched in the face and she kept attempting to punch him as he tried to restrain her.

"She was asked to leave and she went outside and stayed in a garden shed before coming back in. She began shouting and swearing at him again before headbutting him on the nose.

"Police were called but she became irate with officers, pulled up her top to expose herself and then struggled with them as they tried to handcuff her.

"Then she continued to be volatile and aggressive towards them," Mr Treanor added.

Gooch had sentence deferred until June 28 for a background report and was bailed to her Hull address.
