A Wick woman is alleged to have dug her nails into a police officer at the local police station.

It is one of two assault charges Sarah Scolley is facing at Wick Sheriff Court.

The 41-year-old is also accused of punching Christopher Manson in Harper's Bar, Wick and repeatedly kicking him.

Scolley, of Kirkhill, Wick, has also been charged with threatening or abusive behaviour and uttering abusive remarks to police officers at the police station.

The accused entered pleas of not guilty, to all the charges, on Wednesday, and will stand trial on October 31.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred on May 27.
