A 32-year-old woman has been accused of an assault by stabbing in an incident at a house in Wick.

Lianna Gunn made no plea during a brief, private, appearance from custody on Monday before Sheriff Andrew Berry. He granted her bail pending further inquiry.

The charge alleges that the accused caused a 42-year-old man injury and disfigurement using a knife.

Police say that he was treated at Caithness General Hospital in the early hours of Sunday following the incident at a property in Osbourne Close, off Coach Road.
