Barry Wilson will meet the Wick Academy squad for the final time on Wednesday night.

WICK Academy manager Barry Wilson has been named as the new man in charge of Elgin City.

The announcement was made at 12:30pm on Tuesday as the 42-year-old called time on his 15 month stint at Harmsworth Park to take over at Borough Briggs.

Wilson was appointed manager at Wick in November 2012 and helped guide the club to its best ever finish of third in the Highland League, only four points off champions Cove Rangers.

He thanked the Caithness club for giving him his first opportunity in football management, but said the chance to manage at a higher level was too good to turn down.
