A WICK-based vet is set to star in an eight-part series which follows the work of vets in the Highlands and Islands.

Iain MacLean, who works at D.S. McGregor & Partners at the town’s airport industrial estate, will be appearing on Vets: Gach Creutair Beo, which airs on BBC ALBA on Friday nights at 10pm.

Mr MacLean is one of six vets which the documentary follows.

No two days are ever the same for Mr MacLean, who was born and brought up in Ness on the Isle of Lewis.

The show also follows Mr MacLean on call one busy weekend during calving season, when he attends to call-outs throughout the night.
