Wick Tesco store unveils refurbished café

Shoppers in Wick will be able to stop off for a coffee or something to eat at a new look café in the town's Tesco store.

Reopening today (Friday) following a significant investment, the café features a fresh modern interior with bright accents and oak finish flooring, creating a cosy seating area perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or bite to eat.

Danielle Simpson, marketing manager at Tesco Café, said: “We are always looking to provide the best possible service to our customers at Tesco Café. The investment that we have made at Wick has transformed the café and we are confident that it will prove popular.”

A varied cooked-to-order menu, including a range of breakfasts featuring free-range scrambled egg and smoked salmon bagel, smashed avocado on toast, or a traditional full breakfast will be available.

The lunch menu includes a new crispy chicken burger and triple cooked chips as well as firm favourites, such as macaroni cheese, fish finger wrap, hand battered cod and a selection of toasties, and paninis.

In addition to the cooked menu the café offers a full range of premium Rain Forest Alliance barista-made coffees including flat white, lattes, espresso, and mochas.

Now summer has finally arrived there’s a great selection of iced drinks to choose from, including a refreshing dragon fruit cooler or lime crush, as well as raspberry ripple frappé, mango smoothie, salted caramel chocolate milkshake and an iced latte.

The café is open from 8am until 5pm Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 10am-4pm.
