Wick student meets Nicola Sturgeon at Palace of Holyroodhouse garden party

A student from Wick managed a photo opportunity with Nicola Sturgeon at this week's royal garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Maja Pearson came face to face with the First Minister during the event on Wednesday which was also attended by Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex.

Maja (20) has just completed her second year studying actuarial science at Edinburgh's Heriot-Watt University. She was at the garden party with her mum Cecilie and dad Dr Ewen Pearson.
