NEW signs have finally been installed welcoming motorists, cyclists and walkers to Wick.

Wick Community Council unveiled the flagstone-set features at Wick Retail Park on Monday, on South Road, and Wick Business Park..

The project – more than a decade in the making – has seen more than £10,000 invested in the signs.

Community council chairman Niall Smith said: “We’d like to thank everyone who for many years have laboured hard to get the signs up.

“We would also like to thank all those who gave us funding to go towards the cost of the signs.

“It has been hard work, but it has all come good.”
