Wick pool to close for installation of gym equipment
WICK Swimming Pool has received new investment from High Life Highland to improve and add to its range of gym equipment.
The facility will be closed for three days from Monday as seven new pieces of resistance equipment – along with 12 pieces of cardiovascular equipment – will be installed into the fitness area.
The new equipment is accredited by the Inclusive Fitness Initiative which means it is approved to be used by individuals with a disability, including those that are wheelchair bound, as well as able-bodied customers.
The newly upgraded suite will be open to the public on Thursday.
Ian Murray, High Life Highland chief executive, said: “We are committed to providing the best facilities and service for our customers and this investment will allow users of the fitness suite access to a new and improved range of equipment.
“This style of equipment provides something for everyone and we hope it will encourage more people to come and try it out.”
