Faced with an arrest warrant, Adrian Stubbings is alleged to have made a sharp exit, Wick Sheriff Court heard on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old is accused of trying to evade police officers by jumping out of a window at his home in Nicolson Street, Wick, running through a garden, and jumping over a wall.

Stubbings is also charged with threatening or abusive behaviour by uttering offensive comments at the officers.

Co-accused Kevin Yule (38), of Oldwick Road, Wick, is alleged to have obstructed them by attempting to push past them and standing in their way while Stubbings was being arrested.

The pair both had their cases continued until July 26 when they are expected to enter pleas. The incidents are said to have occurred on November 24, last year.
