Wick man 'out of order' for assault and abuse during night out in Kirkwall
A Wick brickie has been left with a £420 hangover as a result of his anti-social conduct during a night out in Kirkwall.
Cameron Young began by pulling flowers from their pots outside the Kirkwall Hotel on the evening of June 25, the town's sheriff court heard on Tuesday.
He then threatened a barman at the hotel's Skipper's Bar, brandished his fists at him, shouted and swore and challenged him to fight.
The 26-year-old later confronted the individual again, repeatedly pushing him, uttering further threats of violence and again challenging him to fight.
After being arrested and taken to the town's station, Young verbally abused and uttered threats of violence towards a woman police constable.

Young, of Dempster Street, Wick previously pleaded guilty to three charges of threatening or abusive conduct and one of assault.
He also admitted wilful or reckless damage and the theft of seven glasses from Skipper's.
Young, who has previous convictions, had sentence deferred for his personal appearance.
Young, who represented himself, told Sheriff Graham Primrose that he had been over for an evening out. It was, he said, "nothing special".
Young said he was very sorry about what happened and that he was "out of order".
He planned going to Skipper's to apologise for his behaviour.
The sheriff fined him £400 and imposed a £20 victim surcharge.
