Wick man broke into town’s Co-op





A Wick man who broke into a local store with intent to steal food was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work – and was complimented on how he had dealt with a similar order previously.

Macki Scott (21), of Telford Street, Wick, admitted the offence which occurred at the Co-op supermarket on December 8, last year.

He missed an earlier appearance at Wick Sheriff Court, having been “heavily intoxicated” when he signed his bail papers.

Sheriff Neil Wilson observed that Scott had “done well” with previous unpaid work imposed for an unrelated offence.
