Wick man arrested in garden amid threats





An offshore worker who behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards his partner was fined £300 at Wick Sheriff Court.

Peter Geddes (48) pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred at the couple’s home in Glamis Road, Wick, on January 5.

Afterwards, he left the house, saying he was going out to get some more drink.

Police located Geddes in the garden of the house the following morning and arrested him.

When cautioned and charged he replied: “I will see you next time” which was regarded as a threat.

Solicitor Fiona MacDonald said that the accused had no recollection of events.

Sentencing Geddes, Sheriff Sara Matheson said: “You will have to think about your drinking when you are at home.”
