Law firm Munro and Noble has incorporated Wick-based Georgesons into its business in a move that it says will create "a powerhouse of legal expertise" in the Highlands.

Clients are being assured that they will benefit from access to a much larger team of solicitors as well as the resources and expertise of both firms which together have amassed around 250 years of legal experience.

Munro and Noble has offices in Inverness, Dingwall and Aviemore, while Georgesons solicitors and estate agents operate in Tain as well as Wick.

The incorporation has taken effect from this month and it is expected that Georgesons will continue to operate in both premises. All 11 personnel at Georgesons will join Munro and Noble.

Munro and Noble has been in business for more than 120 years. It has grown to expand its offering to a full range of legal services.

Georgesons similarly has been operating for more than 120 years and has been a long-term fixture in Wick's Bridge Street.

The senior partner of Munro and Noble, Mary Nimmo, says the incorporation of Georgesons into Munro and Noble will create "a powerhouse of legal expertise that can offer a broader range of services to clients across the Highlands and Islands".

She said: “We are delighted to have incorporated with Georgesons Solicitors and Estate Agents. We have long admired the firm’s reputation and expertise in the Highlands and Islands and we believe that this move will enable us to offer even better service to our clients across Scotland.

"Incorporating with Georgesons is a strategic move for Munro and Noble as it seeks to grow its client base and expand its offering. By joining forces with another reputable law firm, Munro and Noble is well positioned to continue to provide exceptional service to clients across Scotland."

Munro and Noble will now have premises in Aviemore, Inverness, Wick, Tain and Dingwall.
