A CHILDREN in Need fundraising video produced by Wick High is turning into an internet sensation.

Staff and pupils teamed up for the BBC charity appeal to create Take This – a tribute act to top pop act Take That.

Five teachers starred in a 15-minute “mockumentary” which is now racking up thousands of hits on YouTube.

It features Stuart Tait, Grant Mackenzie, Johnny Broad, Chris Aitken and Seb Sandecki singing “Greatest Pay” – a parody of Take That’s number-one single, “Greatest Day”.

One of the organisers, history teacher Carrie Rathie, said it’s been great to get support.

“The Take This ‘mockumentary’ has had over 3500 views and has been viewed in Canada and Singapore,” she said.

“Apparently, 66 per cent of the viewers are women and most of them are between 13 and 17. It has been a massive success and we are thrilled with the response.”
