Ellora James celebrates success at the 2017 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards

A Wick High School student has won a prestigous accolade at the 2017 FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards.

Ellora James (16) from Wick received the One to Watch award at the ceremony in London.

The award is given to an individual aged under 20 who is actively encouraging girls to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects at school level and identify inspirational students or apprentices.

She received the award after self teaching herself in HTML and CSS coding and teaches these skills to other students through her “Apps for Good Course” mentoring programme.
