Wick Gala fireworks display goes with a bang

Crowds gathered on Saturday evening for the traditional end-of-gala bonfire and fireworks event in Wick.

The Riverside was packed with people enjoying kippers and other refreshments - served by the hard-working ladies in the boating shed - and the impressive display of pyrotechnical wizardry which lit up the night sky.

Earlier in the evening, members of Wick RBLS Pipe Band paraded through the town centre, supported by young Highland dancers from the Elise Lyall School of Dance, who performed in the Market Square.
