Fire fighter Robert Gunn has left the service, due to family commitments, after 15 years in the Wick Community Fire Station.

Robert, who is a craft assistant at Dounreay, joined the service on July 17, 2008 and his last night on duty was Thursday, July 27. Both his first and last call outs were to road traffic collisions, the last one a week ago at Helmsdale.

He said he had enjoyed his time with the Fire and Rescue Service but family demands meant he could no longer find the time to continue.
