A Wick man who failed to identify the driver of a car that had come to the notice of police officers was fined £250 at the town’s sheriff court on Tuesday.

Farm worker Graeme Gunn (26) also incurred six penalty points after he pleaded guilty.

The court heard that the accused called at Wick police station on December 5, after learning that officers wanted to speak to him.

Gunn, of Dambreesi, Hempriggs Row, Wick, was advised that he was required to identify the driver of the car in question but gave a “no comment” reply on the instruction of his solicitor.
