A WICK man’s recently published ebook of illustrated, humorous and educational poems about animals for children has topped an Amazon chart.

Within a few days of publication David J Mackay’s creation, Larry Potty’s Animal Rhymes, was at number one in the Amazon UK top 100 children’s poetry ebooks. It is intended to be the first in a series of four.

Mackay, also known as Larry Potty, performed the poems, aimed at children aged from four to seven, to sell-out audiences during the Edinburgh Fringe in 2005, having written them as part of a creative writing course at Edinburgh University. The poems have been praised by leading UK literary agent Caroline Sheldon.

The ebook can be downloaded for Kindle from Amazon and for iPad and Mac from the Apple iBookstore by searching for its title.
