For the second year running, M&Co customers and staff have supported the UK’s leading children’s charity, NSPCC this Christmas by donating thousands of gifts to disadvantaged children.

Generous customers and staff kindly answered a call to action in their local stores across the UK including those in Wick and Thurso, donating over 3000 gifts including cuddly toys, board games, dress-up costumes, toiletries, footballs, books and much more.

Andy McGeoch, chief executive of M&Co, said: “Thank you to all customers and staff for donating over 3,000 wonderful gifts to NSPCC.

“Our local stores have worked closely with our customers and community to help children wake up to a present on Christmas morning. I am delighted that we can use our infrastructure to do some good and create some Christmas spirit”.

While many of us see Christmas as a time of celebration, it puts additional pressure on families and children who are struggling, adds the CEO.

NSPCC have been operating as a successful children’s charity for over 130 years with an overall vision to stop child abuse and neglect.

Over the past five years, NSPCC have helped to make more than five million children safer from abuse due to the generosity and help from their staff, volunteers, supporters and partners.
