The pair donned their full ambulance uniform, including boots, and carried a 10kg ambulance response bag throughout the course.

The pair were raising funds for The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC), which supports ambulance workers and their families in times of need.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the pair raised £2800 for the charity. Their fundraising page is still open at: www.justgiving.com/page/tascmarathon2025

However, they were unavailable for comment on Monday.

They finished together in a time of 5 hours, 52 minutes and 3 seconds.

Ahead of the event, Jack, who was running his first marathon, said: “We decided to run with the kit bag, uniform and boots in order to make it more challenging in the hope it will raise awareness and support for TASC.

“It also highlights the mental and physical stress that ambulance personnel undergo on a daily basis.”
