Whoops they did it again: Thurso juniors complete drama workshop

Thurso Players’ juniors have completed another annual fun-packed two-week workshop, culminating in two performances over the weekend of July 26 and 27.

This year, Whoops! XXIII was written and produced by 32 young people aged from eight to 18. Performances were given to appreciative audiences who braved the warmth to support the juniors and be thoroughly entertained.

The audiences were treated to 15 sketches and four musical numbers, as well as a finale written especially for the show. Every year the juniors work hard to create their own show, helped by a number of adult volunteers, and Whoops! XXIII can only be described as a resounding success for all involved.

Thurso Players now look forward to panto season. Auditions for The Little Mermaid will take place at Mount Pleasant Primary School on Sunday, September 1, from 2-5pm.
