A game based on the popular Where’s Wally? series of books was one of the fun activities at Halkirk Primary School to mark World Book Day.

Pupils dressed up in an imaginative collection of costumes based on fictional characters – from Pippi Longstocking to Cruella de Vil, and from Captain America to a werewolf.

The Where’s Wally? activity was organised by class teacher Karen Munro. Teachers and support staff hid around the school and the pupils set off in teams to find them.

Dressing-up winners – P1/2: Jack Ross and Ella Simpson. P3/4: Alex Flett and Finn Aitken. P4/5: Tyler Jackson and Esme Waller. P6: Freya Swanson and Ava Lambie. P7: Evie Todd and Leah Carney.
