Whale and dolphin fans will get the chance to learn more about our cetacean friends and even learn tips on how to spot them during a special event in Caithness.

To mark World Oceans Day, the Highlife Highland countryside rangers are holding a Whale and Dolphin Presentation at the Seadrift Centre in Dunnet Bay on June 8.

“To celebrate ‘World Oceans Day’ come along and enjoy a ranger-led presentation all about the whales, dolphins and porpoises seen around our coastline,” said a spokesperson.

“Discover good watching sites and tips on how to identify the different species. Take a look at our collection of cetacean skulls on display.”

The drop-on event is free and no booking in advance is required. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The session runs from 11am to 12.30pm

Donations are welcomed.
