Highland parents and carers can access advice for school leavers
Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is offering an online webinar to help parents and carers support their young people and understand what options are available after leaving school.
Scotland’s career service has organised the virtual session on Thursday 10 November. It will have information about post-school options and how to access a wide range of support.
SDS Careers Advisers' Amy and Carrie will be providing expert advice and there will be an opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions.
Amy said: “Moving on from school means young people making significant decisions about what they want to do next and support from their parents and carers is important and valuable at this time.
“Our webinar will give parents and carers information about the options and opportunities that are available. Help for parents and carers is also available on SDS’s online home for career information and advice at My World of Work.”
The event has been organised as part of Scottish Careers Week (7-11 November),
Parents and carers can join the session, which starts at 6.30pm on Thursday 10 November, by registering here.
Scottish Careers Week is delivered by SDS and aims to help people explore, understand and manage their career choices, and the services and resources available to support them.
With over 150 events taking place across the country in schools, SDS centres, online and in local communities, the national campaign will also showcase job opportunities across Scotland’s industries.
