A Watten woman is to fight an allegation that she forced her way into the home of her former partner, grabbed hold of him and caused a disturbance.

Carol Mathews pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour at Wick Sheriff Court, last week, and will stand trial next month.

The 33-year-old, of Henderson Square, Watten, is alleged to have shouted and sworn at a man and a woman at their home at Ackergill, engaged in a struggle, and lashed out at both of them with her feet.

The incident is said to have occurred on April 10, last year.

Matthews will stand trial on October 5.
